Please read below regarding how service delivery is changing in Planning & Zoning in response to COVID-19.

Effective January 25, 2021, the Department of Planning & Zoning will re-open to the public. Appointments will be required for all services.  Face masks are also required when inside the building.

Scheduling an appointment will allow both you and our staff to help maintain better social distancing and also help you feel confident that the person you need to see will be available.  If your question or issue could easily be handled over the phone or by email, please do so.

Building permits will continue to be accepted digitally. All digital submittals may be emailed to buildingpermits@peoriacounty.org.  A building permit application must be submitted along with the rest of the submittal requirements for your project.  To find out what kind of information is applicable to your particular project and to fill out an application, please select “Permits” from the menu on the left and continue to follow those guidelines along with the digital submittal guidelines referenced above. Incomplete submittals will not be sent for plan review.  Please note that digital plans must be readable/clear for plan review to take place.  Plans will then need to be reviewed and approved before a permit can be issued.

For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please contact the office by calling 309-672-6915 from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday.
