Heddington Oaks is taking measures to protect our residents, staff, volunteers, and resident family members from the possible spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We are currently following Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, which were recently updated on March 14, regarding enhanced cleaning procedures, employee health screenings, and visitor restrictions. Please help us in our efforts to protect our high-risk population.
To prevent the possible spread of COVID-19, we are:
We know that family members will find it difficult to not be able to visit residents in person, but we sincerely thank you for your understanding while we work to keep your loved ones safe.
Due to potentially harmful effects from the spread of germs at our facility, we are strongly discouraging any non-essential mail is sent to our residents, especially from strangers. We understand and appreciate the public’s interest in sending letters to the residents of Heddington Oaks while visitor restrictions are enforced, but we must also take the necessary precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases to our very vulnerable population of residents.
Procedures are currently being put into place on how our staff and residents will handle their mail moving forward, and we will post any updates on our Facebook Page or here on our website.
The Peoria City/County Health Department has developed a website for the monitoring of COVID-19 in our area. https://www.pcchd.org/COVID19
